Chances for Children, also known as Chances, is a locally based fund that focuses on providing scholarships and mentoring to recipients, who without our help, may not have the opportunity to pursue their education or realise their talents in sport or the arts.
Chances has two funds
– Main Fund Keeping Kids in Secondary School Tertiary Non Tertiary
– University TAFE Apprenticeship Traineeship
Open to students with:-
Learning difficulties support Elite sport – training, equipment, competition Cultural – music, performing arts
Enrolled to study in Years 11 or 12 (or equivalent).
The scholarships and mentoring Chances provides is tailored to each individual recipient to give them the best chance for success.
Chances for Children originated in 2000 as a partnership between Mallee Family Care and the then three water authorities. Chances has evolved over the past 17 years into a community partnership where we contribute to the lives and futures of young people living in Northwest Victoria and Southwest New South Wales.
Chances relies on community support both financially and through in-kind contributions to enable us to continue to make a difference.
